Mayor Muriel Bowser has proclaimed Monday, May 13–today!–Kojo Nnamdi Day, in honor of Kojo’s twenty years on air at WAMU.

And what better way to celebrate than with some free ice cream? After all, we’re experts here at The Kojo Nnamdi Show on how ice cream builds community.

Locally owned Ice Cream Jubilee has created a special flavor for Kojo (spoiler alert: it’s strawberries and cream), just for Kojo Nnamdi Day. The first 600 people to stop by their Navy Yard location will receive a free “Kojo Scoop.” Post a photo with your Kojo Scoop, tag #Kojo20 and #sharejubilee, and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to our Kojo 20 Celebration at The Howard Theatre on June 6th — our final event marking this very special anniversary.

Ice Cream Jubilee’s Navy Yard location is at 301 Water St SE #105, Washington, DC 20003. They are open from 11 am to 10 pm today, but hurry, there are only 600 Kojo Scoops to go around!
